Manny Pacquiao great?

Pacquiao Mayweather 24/7

If you are not a friend of Braggingrightscorner.com on Facebook now is the time to do it. All this week we will be taking polls on who you believe to be the fighter of the year, the fight of the year, and prospect of the year among other things. We asked our readers, “Which active fighters deserve to be called great?” and we got a massive amount of replies. Six names kept popping up and they were Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins, Shane Mosley, Vitali Klitschko, and Roy Jones all in that order from the most votes to the least. You really can’t argue with this list except for Klitschko. It's hard to gauge his greatness because of the lack of tough competition in the heavyweight division.

Who do you feel won the fight between Paul Williams and Sergio Martinez? 71% of you feel Martinez should have been awarded the decision. While 29% felt the judges got it right with Paul Williams the winner. It was a very close and competitive fight and either man could have easily been called the winner. Which brings me to a certain judge who scored it 119-110 for the Punisher. 119-110? I STILL can’t get over how horrible that scorecard was. This man should not be allowed to judge a buffalo wing eating contest, let along a professional fight.

Besides the Pacquiao Mayweather fight which fights do you want to see happen in 2010? One name kept popping up over and over again and that name was Amir Khan. People want to see this guy fight! Khan vs. Hatton, Bradley, and Marquez were all mentioned. David Haye against either of the Klitschko brothers was also very popular and I agree 100%. The fight I found most interesting that was brought up was David Tua vs. Chris Arreola. It would be a war, something we haven’t seen in the heavyweight division in some time. Both men can take a hell of a punch and have plenty of power. Tua - Arreola gets my vote for must see fight in 2010.

Bernard Hopkins is still going strong and we wanted to know who you wanted to see him fight next. 69% of you want to see Hopkins in against Chad Dawson while 23% said David Haye. 8% of you said Danny Green. I think Hopkins - Dawson would be a very boring fight and don’t care if I ever see it. A fight with David Haye doesn’t interest me that much either. I know Bernard Hopkins is one of the greatest fighters of his generation but damn is he boring.
